ครั้งแรกที่ได้ร่วมงานกับเพื่อนมาเลย์และสิงคโปร์เป็นอะไรที่น่าตื่นเต้นมาก ที่จะได้พบเจอและทำงานกับคนที่ไม่เคยรู้จักมาก่อน เรียกได้ว่าเป็นประสบการณ์ครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ของเด็กไทยคนนี้ การเจอกันครั้งแรก ผมจะผ่านมันไปได้อย่างไร จะมีอุปสรรค์อะไรหรือไม่ ผมจะเริ่มเล่าให้คุณฟัง..
เช้าวันแรกที่ผมได้เห็นหน้าเพื่อนๆ ผมรู้สึกตระหนี่และกลัวเล็กน้อยว่าผมจะคุยกับเขาหรือเปล่า ทันใดนั้นเองก็มีเพื่อนชายชาวต่างชาติคนหนึ่ง ชวนให้ผมนั่งข้างๆเขา แล้วเราก็เริ่มพูดคุยถามไถ่ความเป็นอยู่ จนเราเริ่มสนิทกัน ทำให้ผมเริ่มสบายใจขึ้น และเมื่อเราได้ทำงานกลุ่มร่วมกัน ก็เป็นโอกาสให้เราได้ทำความรู้จักกันมากขึ้นอีก ได้ใช้เวลาร่วมกัน แลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรม แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์กัน เพื่อนทุกคนให้ความสนใจในเรื่องราวของเมืองเก่าและการอนุรักษ์เป็นอย่างดี
Working with fellow students from Malaysia and Singapore whom I have met for the first time was very exciting and an especially great experience for students from Thailand. This post will feature some thoughts from our first meeting as well as some hurdles that I experienced.
The first morning, when I saw their faces. I felt a little shy and was a little afraid of talking to them. Suddenly there was a foreign guy who invited me to sit beside him. Then we started talking and asked about each other’s well-being. We got more familiar with each other and I started to ease up. Working in groups was an opportunity for us to get to know each other more and we spent some time together exchanging cultures and experiences. They were all interested in the stories of the Old Town of Songkhla and conservation.

ผมดีใจที่เพื่อนๆ ให้ความสำคัญและให้ความสนใจ ทุ่มเททั้งแรงกายและแรงใจ ยอมเหนื่อย ตากฝน ตากแดด อดหลับอดนอน เพื่อกิจกรรมการอนุรักษ์เมืองเก่าสงขลาในครั้งนี้
ตอนนี้ผมรู้สึกเลิกกลัวแล้วและเริ่มปรับตัวเข้ากับเพื่อนทั้งมาเลย์และสิงคโปร์ได้แล้ว และหวังว่าเราจะมีโอกาสดีๆได้ร่วมงานกันอีกในครั้งต่อไป
I'm glad that my friends are focused and attentive; working hard without much sleep for conservation activities in this old city of Songkhla. Now I can have a good relationship with both Malaysian and Singaporean friends without any fears and hopefully we will have a chance to work together again in the future.
